Behavior analysis focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. Positive reinforcement is one such principle. When a behavior is followed by some sort of reward, the behavior is more likely to be repeated. Through decades of research, the field of behavior analysis has developed many techniques for increasing useful behaviors and reducing those that may cause harm or interfere with learning. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior. What would I be doing? Our ABA Therapists follow ABA therapy techniques in specialized, client based sessions in order to successfully reach goals per the client's behavior plan by performing a variety of duties related to verbal behavior, behavior modification, treatment plan implementation, data collection and intervention in individual treatment of clients.   Where would I work with clients? We are a majority clinic based program, so you would work with clients at one of our three clinics. One is located in Avon, one is on the Southwest side of Indianapolis (near the airport), and one is located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis (Fall Creek). What are the hours? We have part-time and full-time options available! How much would I make? ABA Autism Services by Damar combines the long-term experience and expertise of Damar Services with cutting-edge Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approaches to offer a solution to families facing the challenges of raising a child with autism.  While many nonprofit and for-profit businesses offer ABA services, only ABA Autism Services by Damar can back its services with the experience and expertise of an organization that has been serving people with developmental challenges and autism for more than 50 years.   Damar’s ABA program begins with an evaluation that includes a full assessment of each child. Observation time, parent interviews, and the appropriate assessment tools are used to create an individualized treatment plan in order to meet the unique needs of your child with autism. Our services can include: - Intensive Behavioral Training - Social & Community Training - Speech & Occupational Therapy Services - Diagnostic Services - Community Integration We are currently seeking a licensed Psychologist to join our team! The Clinical Psychologist will support both the Behavior Management and ABA departs of Damar. Through ABA, this person will complete diagnostic appointments, providing the family with a detailed diagnostic report.
