The Crises Response Team is responsible for providing support to the Intensive Autism Technicians in ensuring client treatment plans and programs are followed as designed by the Intensive Autism Supervisor. The Crises Response Team role is a position focused on developing critical skills and competencies necessary for successful implementation of intensive autism programming.

 

We are currently seeking Registered Behavior Technicians to join our highly skilled team for full-time opportunities at our main residential setting on the Southwest side of Indianapolis where we provide services. The Crises Response Team is responsible for ensuring the Intensive Autism Technicians’ understanding of new and previously trained interventions or procedures and providing immediate critical feedback to struggling Intensive Autism Technicians. You will also be responsible for supporting ongoing training initiatives to provide our Intensive Autism Technicians practical application of ABA principles for client specific needs.

  • Performs RBT Competency Assessment-Renewals for current Intensive Autism Technicians within a designated period of time and properly follows guidelines outlined for this process.
  • Remains available and approachable to Intensive Autism Technicians for questions, concerns, or ideas regarding client programming or behavior intervention.
  • Assists the Intensive Autism Supervisor with the completion of various assessments and Practical Functional Assessments.
  • Shows initiative by identifying solutions to work towards improving stakeholder satisfaction
  • Remains familiar with the agency’s Strategic Plan.
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.
  • Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.
  • Completes required documentation.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and Damar Operational Policies and Procedures Manual.

What you need to be considered...

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred 
  • Minimum 6 months previous experience with autism spectrum disorders required
  • Proficiency with computers and tablets. MS Office applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • RBT Required.
  • Coursework and/or enrollment in supervision towards BCBA certification preferred.
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical required. 

Essential Job Functions:

 

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

 

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

 

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
