The Community-Based Services Clinical Supervisor will provide client-centered, culturally competent, and effective services to clients served by the agency who are involved with the Department of Child Services. This position utilizes evidence-based practices to provide goal-oriented services and safety assessments to each case. This position supports the agency’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives. Answering to the Director of Community Based Services, the clinical supervisor will be primarily responsible for supervising master and bachelor level providers in Damar’s CBS Program and monitor compliance of evidenced based practices.  In addition to providing supervision, this position will maintain a small clinical caseload.

  • Provides clinical supervision and consultation to therapists/case managers.
  • Provides support in file review, customer relations, crisis management and support; also include individual clinical supervision in addition to group clinical supervision.
  • Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • On-call duties required.
  • Onboarding/training of new staff.
  • Assists in the recruiting, hiring and professional development of therapists/ case managers.
  • Provides counseling services for clients including third party billing and documentation.
  • Experienced with Trauma Informed Care practice.

What you need to be considered...

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with Clinical Licensure required.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) through the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board is required.
  • CSAYC (Preferred)
  • Experience working with children and families involved with the child welfare system and/or children and families with incidents of abuse or neglect.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
