The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties, such as, natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive autism intervention. The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for providing direct support to individuals diagnosed with Autism who reside at Damar North. Assists the treatment team, including the Intensive Autism Manager, Intensive Autism Supervisor, and Director of Autism Services and other members as designated, in the evaluation of clinical services.
We are currently seeking Intensive Autism Technicians to join our highly skilled team for full-time opportunities at our East Chicago (4840 Grasselli St) location. The Intensive Autism Technician is responsible for providing direct services to children diagnosed with Autism, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. They are also responsible for participating in Behavior Skills Training and assiting during Practical Functional Assessments.

Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
