For more than 50 years, Damar Services has been a leader in providing services to children and adults facing challenges related to intellectual, developmental and behavioral disabilities and autism.  With headquarters on Indianapolis’ southwest side, Damar has several locations locally and across the state and over 1,000 employees.  As one of the largest not-for-profit organizations in the state, Damar offers a full continuum of services to include residential and community-based treatment, foster care, public and private schools, outpatient behavioral health services and ABA Autism Services.

 

Currently, we are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer.  As a key member of the Executive Team, the Chief Financial Officer will assume a strategic role in providing consultation and support to the President & CEO, Executive Staff and the Board of Directors in the development and implementation of financial strategies that support the mission of Damar Services along with the Damar Foundation and the Damar Charter Academy.  The Chief Financial Officer will oversee operational departments, serve as the primary contact person with banks and insurance companies, lead risk management functions, quality controls, and financial audit functions for Damar and affiliated organizations as well as will serve as a staff member on Damar Board committees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration; Master’s Degree and CPA preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of senior relevant leadership experience; previous Senior Leadership or CFO experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and DCS cost reporting
  • Ability to present financial outcomes and provide strategic solutions
  • Ability to address shifting and competing priorities as well as adaptable when advocating recommendations and providing alternatives
  • Experienced building and leading teams of the highest degree of professionalism and guiding team members' growth and development
  • Proven experience partnering with Boards to ensure fiduciary responsibility and sound financial management practices
  • Proven experience working with external auditors and internal controls and compliance-related issues
  • Demonstrates honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments
  • Advanced proficiency in advanced accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to successfully complete Damar’s pre-employment requirements
