Damar is looking for a talented and motivated Cafeteria Aide to join our team onsite at our campus on the Southwest Side of Indianapolis. If you have experience working in a cafeteria setting, this could be a wonderful fit! The Cafeteria Aide is responsible for preparing the cafeteria for serving breakfast and lunch during school and other scheduled activities as necessary, and is also responsible for daily afternoon snacks.

When would I work? Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference:

• Assists cooks with needed prep work
• Prepares cafeteria for meal service, including setting up tables and chairs
• Stocks the serving line with the necessary supplies and serving utensils
• Breaks down and cleans the serving line and tray conveyor after serving meals
• Prepares and sends out the afternoon snack
• Ensures cafeteria tables and fixtures are maintained clean and safe
• Assists in maintaining the cafeteria, kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner which meets licensing requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to be considered:

• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required
• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
