Join us in delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families in our community. Damar is currently seeking a Psychometrist. The Psychometrist, under clinical supervision of a licensed psychologist, neuropsychologist, or other
appropriately qualified behavioral health care provider is responsible for direct patient and family work by routine administering, scoring, and compiling results of a full comprehensive evaluation.

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference:

  • Administers and scores a range of neuropsychological and psychological tests (pediatric and adult batteries)
  • Adheres to standardize testing procedures
  • Adapts the administration of the tests to the specific needs of each patient while maintaining standardized
    procedures set forth for each test
  • Manages behavioral and motivation issues that may arise in the context of the assessment
  • Completes all scoring in a timely manner
  • Ensures accuracy of scored tests
  • Uses computerized test administration and scoring programs
  • Ensures confidentiality of test results and recommendations; maintain security of testing materials
  • Provides a written summary of relevant behavioral observation to the supervising licensed psychologist,
    neuropsychologist, or other appropriately qualified behavioral health care provider
  • Serves as a member of Damar's interdisciplinary team
  • Seeks the best use of materials, equipment and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
  • Shows initiative by identifying solutions to work towards improving stakeholder satisfaction
  • Keeps abreast of current assessment practices, testing methodologies, literature, and applicable regulations to
    support the delivery of high-quality clinical services
  • Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances
  • Interacts professionally with parents, school and medical personnel, and coordinates clinical services between
    Damar, school, clinics, and family as warranted
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to be considered:

  • Must meet one of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field from an accredited college or university required with 3 years of experience administering standardized evaluative tests
  • Master's degree in psychology or related field from an accredited college or university preferred with 1 year of experience administering standardized evaluative tests
  • Certified Specialist in Psychometry (CSP) preferred
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification
  • Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
