Remarkable way you will make a difference...

• Provides comprehensive functional assessment of behavior for each client served.
• Provides written documentation of behavior management service via monthly reports.
• Completes daily utilization reports within 24 hours of service.
• Assists with evaluation feedback.
• Provides input for newly hired Behavior Consultants performance evaluations.
• Implements, coordinates, monitors, documents, evaluates, and revises behavior programs.
• Develops an on-boarding plan and trains incoming Behavior Consultants.
• Assists in training documentation process, staff training, and orientation shadowing.
• Assists navigating client homes, day programs, and community visits.
• Attends psychotropic medication appointments with clients, families and staff members, if applicable.
• Assists the Manager and Director in interviewing of Behavior Consultants.
• Develops a partnership and collaborate with outside providers and referral sources.
• Provides training for other staff regarding behavior management plans/approaches.
• Keeps abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations.
• Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.
• Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances.
• Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.
• Assists in developing monthly productivity planning to meet goals/deadlines for new staff.
• Reviews electronic billing and documentation for accuracy.
• Submits documentation (behavior plans, monthly notes, etc.) in accordance with behavior management policy.

What you need to be considered…

 

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, or as identified in the 460 Indiana Administrative Code.
  • Minimum of 1 year of directly relevant applied experience in the implementation of behavioral interventions and working with individuals with intellectual difficulties.     
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification.
  • Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
