Some of the ways you will be making a difference...

  • Assists in all internal and external HR audits, including, but not limited to, annual and relicensure audits from the Department of Child Services, Board of Health, Family Social Services Association, etc.
  • Assists with annual background checks for all employees, including but not limited to, local law enforcement agency check, national sex offender check, and driving record check.
  • Conducts monthly background checks for applicable employees, including by not limited to, Medicaid Fraud Check (OIG/DHHS).
  • Maintains accurate information in the Applicant Tracking system to include moving candidates through the recruitment workflow, responding to candidate inquiries, and completing all required requisition fields to allow for accurate and timely reporting of processes.
  • Deliver timely communication and feedback to all key stakeholders in such as candidates, hiring managers, Ambassadors and Talent Acquisition / Human Resources team.
  • Attends mandatory staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Facilitates and leads tuberculosis testing for all new employees, including TB skin tests, chest x-rays, TB assessments, and TB blood tests.
  • Assists in collection and documentation of all annual forms requested of employees, such as attestation and conflict of interest forms.

What you need to be considered...

  • High school diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-year experience customer service-related role or 1-year experience in office position preferred.
  • Previous experience with Human Resource Information Systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical required. 

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
