Damar is looking for a talented and motivated Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician with a big heart to join us. The Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans for assigned clients. In addition, Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician will provide individual and family therapy and other support services to assigned clients while assisting the treatment team, in the evaluation of clinical services.

  • Maintains clinical case load.
  • Provides counseling services for identified clients and their support network.
  • Performs comprehensive formal and functional assessments.
  • Implements, coordinates, monitor, documents, and evaluate measurable treatment goals.
  • Maintains required productivity.

  • Interacts professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others stakeholders with professionalism and the highest levels of interpersonal and customer service skills.

Education: Master’s degree required.  Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or applicable discipline preferred.

 

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of social work or counseling experience.  Experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental and/or emotional disabilities is desired.

 

Equipment Familiarity: Proficiency with MS Office applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

 

Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:

  • LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT required.
  • Trauma informed care and de-escalation training. 
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
  • Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification. 
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical required. 

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
