Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. Damar is currently seeking a talented, motivated and detail oriented Resource and Crisis Support Specialist. The Resource and Crisis Support Specialist is responsible for responding to crisis situations involving children and adolescents in Damar’s Intensive Foster Care Program, with flexibility to assist other programs across the agency when needed. In this capacity, the Resource and Crisis Support Specialist will provide assistance to caregivers by role modeling, teaching appropriate responses, and completing program implementation. In response to critical situations, delivers immediate resources, targeted training, corrective guidance, and hands-on support to staff. While the primary reporting line is to the Director of Intensive Foster Care Services, the role may also report to other agency leaders when providing support to additional programs.

Essential Job Functions
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
