Damar is currently seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to be part of our integrated healthcare team at Damar Health Services located at 5715 Decatur Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46241! The Clinical Psychologist will complete intakes, diagnostic appointments, and consultations, providing caregivers with a detailed diagnostic report. They will also provide clinical oversight to contract psychologists and interns. Ensures diagnostic practices are in alignment with Damar’s mission.

• Conducts timely and thorough autism evaluations for assigned clients.
• Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned.
• Completes approximately 12 appointments per week (to be adjusted based on FTE).
• Supervises and provides training to assigned psychology students/interns.
• Regularly reviews and signs psychology student’s work.
• Provides guidance and ensures clinical competence of contract psychologists.
• Completes diagnostic interviews and uses screening tools to evaluate the need for further testing.
• Makes a clinical determination on the most appropriate assessments, measures, and tests to rule in or out a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
• Provides caregiver consultation time following a diagnosis decision.
• Completes all documentation, including but not limited to, evaluation reports within 15 business days of the date of service.
• Enters billing notes for all services provided.
• Provides recommendations to caregivers both when a diagnosis is given and when a diagnosis is not.
• Utilizes a trauma assumed approach when addressing client problem behavior.
• Seeks client assent during the evaluation process.
• Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.

Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
