Damar is currently seeking a committed and inspiring Executive Director to oversee our residential operations. In this key leadership role, you will ensure that systems and processes are in place to promote strong employee performance, timely and effective service delivery, and high-quality client care and engagement. You will also directly supervise a team of Residential Managers who lead units within our children’s residential campus.

Remarkable way you will make a difference...

  • Provides overall supervision to facility administrators, managers, and treatment team who are responsible for services provider to the residential program, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
  • Keeps EVP informed of all operational and client-related issues daily.
  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of Residential Services.
  • Develops, presents to EVP, and implements organizational operating policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory requirements, operating needs, and innovative solutions to quality improvement.
  • Oversees and engages in the resolution of employee issues including employee discipline.
  • Ensures that programming and schedules are properly implemented in all areas of oversight.
  • Participation in COA and Quality and Compliance processes includes but is not limited to providing quantitative and qualitative data, identifying trends and creating plans of action to address service line needs, challenges and issues relative to client care.
  • Provides sound clinical oversight regarding clients in assigned area of oversight.
  • Participates in the Administrator On-Call rotation.
  • Participates, either in person or by proxy in the Daily Flash Meeting to monitor and address critical incidents.
  • Maintains, and is active in, professional association affiliations as appropriate.
  • Actively participates in and/or oversees data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices, and service delivery.
  • Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned.
  • Supports the fund-raising activities of the organization.
  • Attends social functions that further the mission of Damar and as requested by the EVP.
  • Participates in events which enhance the visibility of Damar, and which benefit the community in general.
  • Respects the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families, and the community.

What you need to be considered...

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or another social services field with 10 years of experience working with youth or adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years of experience can be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required.
  • LCSW, LMFT, LMHC Licensure preferred.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required. 

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
