Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. We’re currently seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for full-time positions on our Crisis Response Team, based at our main residential facility on the Southwest side of Indianapolis. As a member of the Crisis Response Team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Intensive Autism Technicians by:

  • Ensuring proper implementation of treatment plans and interventions as designed by the Intensive Autism Supervisor.

  • Providing immediate, constructive feedback to technicians who are struggling.

  • Reinforcing the application of ABA principles tailored to each client’s specific needs.

  • Supporting ongoing training initiatives and helping develop key skills and competencies required for effective autism programming.

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference...

  • Performs RBT Competency Assessment-Renewals for current Intensive Autism Technicians within a designated period of time and properly follows guidelines outlined for this process.
  • Remains available and approachable to Intensive Autism Technicians for questions, concerns, or ideas regarding client programming or behavior intervention.
  • Assists the Intensive Autism Supervisor with the completion of various assessments and Practical Functional Assessments.
  • Shows initiative by identifying solutions to work towards improving stakeholder satisfaction
  • Remains familiar with the agency’s Strategic Plan.
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.
  • Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.
  • Completes required documentation.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and Damar Operational Policies and Procedures Manual.

What you need to be considered...

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred 
  • Minimum 6 months previous experience with autism spectrum disorders required
  • Proficiency with computers and tablets. MS Office applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • RBT Required.
  • Coursework and/or enrollment in supervision towards BCBA certification preferred.
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of physical required. 

Essential Job Functions:

 

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

 

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

 

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
