Do you have a passion for working with kids? Do you think you have what it takes to help improve the lives of kids facing life’s greatest developmental and behavioral challenges?  Damar is currently seeking a talented, motivated and detail oriented Part-Time Cook to join our team! As a Cook, you would prepare meals from scratch and cook items in batches, load food carts, and ensure the kitchen and equipment is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.  

 

Available Shifts:

  • 5a-1p 3 times/week
  • Flexibility to work 1p-7p preferred

Remarkable way you will make a difference...

  • Have a part in preparing and providing all meals for our clients and staff
  • Review and accurately follow meal count information to ensure client safety
  • Assist in maintaining the kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Take pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas, to better our clients' wellbeing

What you need to be considered...

  • Be at least 18
  • Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment screen and physical.
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal offenses

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 50lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
