Where will I be located?

On the southwestern side of Indianapolis in the Plainfield/Camby area at our Health Services Clinic! 

 

What would I be doing?

You will deliver quality nursing care at our clinic by coordinating care, such as vitals, labs, and patient education!

 

What are the hours? 

Monday-Wednesday 8a-5p

Thursday 8a-6p

Friday 8a-4p

Some of the ways you will make a difference...

  • Provides timely nursing care to patients in the office setting.
  • Ensures provider orders are followed to deliver care and results timely and efficiently.
  • Follows through on referrals, education, and coordination of care until client medical needs are met.
  • Reviews patient schedule each day and prepares for appointments by ensuring all necessary tests, supplies, and materials are available prior to patient’s arrival.

  • Prepares patients for provider visits by taking vitals, asking screening questions, reconciling medications, and performing applicable tests prior to the provider entering the room.

  • Administers vaccines, draws labs, completes in office testing, and makes referrals as ordered by the provider.

  • Provides patient education related to diagnoses or health conditions as requested by the provider. Educational needs may include obesity, diabetes, smoking cessation, wellness compliance, immunizations, and more.

  • Keeps the patient up to date on status of referrals, test results, and follow-up care.

  • Serves as the coordinator for the Vaccines for Children program.

What you need to be considered...

  • Must have Indiana nursing license as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

  • Minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting.

    • Strong phlebotomy skills

    • Knowledge of childhood immunization schedules

  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
  • No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment and physical requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
